Steve Molyneaux, Owner & Founder
Steve Molyneaux began his career by working in his father’s welding shop as a young boy and learned the fundamentals of operating family-owned business. His eventual desire to expand into the construction field led him to become a heavy equipment operator for a local municipality. While attending Prairie State College, an opportunity presented itself to join Nova Cellular, Chicago’s first reseller of cellular service. Steve eventually became the Service Department Director for Nova Cellular and all of its Chicagoland locations (10+). Steve completely automated Nova’s Service Dept. and warehouse and continued to build a solid corporate career during the rapid expansion of cellular technology across the country in the late 80’s and 90’s. After MCI purchased Nova Cellular, Steve continued to work his way up the corporate ladder over the next 18 years to eventually become Vice President of Operations in the Wireless Division. During his years with MCI, and eventually Worldcom after a merger, Steve was responsible for the design and construction of all corporate retail stores, from lease inception through build out, negotiation of all vendor contracts, as well as purchasing and negotiations of all cellular inventory contracts on a national level. His visionary thinking and ability to forecast company needs led him to be the recipient of MCI/Worldcom’s highest honors, the Master’s and President’s Clubs. He has also been recognized in several design and architectural magazines for his futuristic designs in merchandising and retail spaces.
After relocating to the South in 2001, Steve’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to build a successful pressure washing business which he sold after 5 years. Steve has been a consultant to several cellular/liquidation companies seeking expansion and growth strategies, and also served as a construction consultant to a local environmental laboratory.
